Mahama is managing dumsor – NPP MP

Member of Parliament for Tano North Constituency Freda Prempeh says contrary to his undertaking of fixing the power crisis, President John Dramani Mahama is managing the problem like his predecessors.

President Mahama in his state-of-the-nation address last year accused previous governments of managing the situation.

“I John Dramani Mahama will fix the energy challenge,” the president told MP’s last year.

But speaking on TV3’s New Day on Thursday, hours before the president delivers this year’s address, Ms Prempeh said: “Since last week I have been having power outages”.

She, therefore, said the current situation cannot be a solution to the crisis but a management of it.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP also bemoaned the high unemployment rate in the country, ascribing recent hikes in crimes to it.
