Mahama hugs, smiles with critics Martey, Bawumia

President John Mahama met two of his fiercest critics in Ghana politics – the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Prof. Emmanuel Martey and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) – on Sunday.

The three came face to face for the first time in several months at the Golden Jubilee of the Brong Ahafo Presbytery.

Prof. Martey has been a staunch faultfinder of the Mahama administration with Dr Bawumia, who is the running mate of Nana Akufo-Addo, incurring the wrath of Mahama, having labelled him “incompetent” on various political platforms.

Mahama met them separately, but pictures emanating from the event indicate they had a hearty, but brief conversation to the admiration of the public.
