President John Mahama has hinted five more regions could be created during his second term of office.
However, he said increasing the regions from 10 to 15 will be dependent on a recommendation from a Commission of Enquiry which will be set up.
“We’ll set up a commission of enquiry to look at the viability of increasing the number from 10 to 15. They will look at petitions and based on that recommendation we’ll trigger that processes,” Mahama said at a public event to outline the 2016 Manifesto of the National Democratic Congress.
