Mahama funding National Security to divide us – NPP

The New Patriotic Party has blamed the regular wrangling within its ranks on “elements” in the National Security apparatus.

According to the party, President John Mahama has deliberately increased funding to the state security agency in order to enable them sponsor confusion within the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition.

Addressing a news conference in Accra Thursday, the acting general secretary of the NPP, John Boadu, said the party has enough evidence to back their claim that the national security is working against the party’s victory in the upcoming elections.

“Much of the problems in the NPP were orchestrated, sponsored and fuelled by the ruling party. Desperate to hang on to power in spite of its abysmal performance, the Mahama administration, according to information we have, has therefore put aside a huge budget and a crack team supported by elements in the national security setup to make the job of attempting to damage the NPP a top priority.

“National security personnel and others who have made it their industry to invest in the creation of confusion and sponsoring raids and physical attacks in the NPP, we are saying to you; please stop,” he claimed.

The allegation by the NPP comes days after President John Mahama took a swipe at its flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo on a campaign platform, calling him a dictator who has divided his party.
