Following President Mahama’s ascension to the throne, Ghana has faced a series of economic hardships and rampant outbreaks of fire that destroyed millions of properties.
His tenure has also featured erratic supply of electricity; together with sequential declaration of industrial strike actions by public officers.
The issue of questionable contracts awarded to certain companies has raised eyebrows and this makes Hon. Yamoah Ponko conclude that “good luck” is not on the side of President Mahama.
In an interview with OKAY FM, the Municipal Chief Executive for Ejisu Juaben proffered that although good luck has not favoured the Mahama-led administration, the president and his team have kept faith in the Lord to solve the miseries.
Mr. Ponko attributed most of the bad omens encountered by the current administration to actions by certain people bent on making President Mahama unpopular.
He stated that in a final report received by the president last year, the investigators concluded that the fire was caused by people with intent. Pressed on by the host of ADE AKYE ABIA Kwame Nkrumah Tikese to disclose further details of the report, Mr. Yamaoh Ponko was quick to recount that “the report is only meant for the consumption of the president.
The president is not under any obligation to disclose the report to anyone.”
He concluded by stating that it would be unfair to put out the details of the report considering its security implication.
