Mahama deceiving Ghanaians with ‘Accounting to the People tour’ – NPP

The New Patriotic Party has launched a scathing attack on President Mahama over his ‘Accounting to the People tour’ claiming that the President is taking credits for projects he didn’t initiate.

According to the NPP, President Mahama is deceiving the populace with projects started by the Kufuor administration in a bid to win votes.

Communications officer for the Western regional executives of the NPP Okatakyie Amankwa Afrifa told journalists in Takoradi that the technical universities being commissioned by the President don’t have legal backing.

He added that the president has failed to expand basic facilities in the polytechnic but rather converting it into a technical university.

“No sensible government would preside over the collapse of its educational facilities while building new ones elsewhere.

“With the tremendous developments across our polytechnics, the John Mahama government is elevating them to technical universities forgetting that there is so much work before it can be established”.

President Mahama is currently touring the Eastern region following a similar visit to the Western region last week.

Meanwhile, President Mahama has announced that over one hundred and seventy communities in the Eastern region are being connected to the national grid.
