Mahama congratulates Asantehene

Government on behalf of the people of Ghana has sent a congratulatory message to Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on the occasion of his 15th Anniversary of ascending the Golden Stool of the Ashanti Kingdom.

President Mahama said in a message that “As a descendant of revered, brave and illustrious kings of the Ashanti Kingdom, you have brought modernity to kingship by focusing on the felt needs of the times and putting in place measures to ensure that there is peace and progress in your Kingdom.”

“Your reign will be cherished as one which sought to empower the people through education, discipline and respect for human dignity.”

Your Majesty, On the occasion of the 15th Anniversary of your ascension to the Golden Stool of the Ashanti Kingdom, I bring you greetings from the government and people of our dear nation Ghana.

Your ascension to the Stool has witnessed so many positive efforts aimed at improving the standard of living of your subjects and indeed Ghanaians as a whole’

As a descendant of revered, brave and illustrious kings of the Ashanti Kingdom, you have brought modernity to kingship by focusing on the felt needs of the times and putting in place measures to ensure that there is peace and progress in your Kingdom.

Your reign will be cherished as one which sought to empower the people through education, discipline and respect for human dignity.

We the people of Ghana salute you and pray that the Good Lord continues to bless and keep you. May he continue to grant you wisdom, good health and prosperity to enable you do more for your subjects and Ghana at large. Congratulations!
