Mahama commissions new Cape Coast Stadium

President John Dramani Mahama at a special ceremony in Cape Coast commissioned the ultra-modern 16,000 capacity Cape Coast stadium.

The President of Ghana was joined by the Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, Her Excellency Sun Baohong, to cut the sod for the $35 million project financed by the Chinese government as a grant to the people of Ghana.

Construction of the stadium began in August 2013 till the final inspection of the facilities on Christmas Eve last year (24 December 2015) by officials of both Ghana and China.
