Mahama attends Emergency ECOWAS Summit

President John Dramani Mahama will today Friday January 18, 2013 join other Heads of State from the sub-region in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, for an Emergency ECOWAS Heads of State and Government Summit.

A statement signed by Presidential Spokesperson, John Abdulai Jinapor, says the Heads of State will discuss and deliberate on the political situation in Mali and formulate strategies for the speedy restoration of peace and constitutional order in Mali.

Mr. Mahama, the statement noted, will return home on Saturday January 19, 2013.
