Mahama asks parliament to approve GH¢6bn appropriation budget

President John Dramani Mahama has asked Parliament to approve more than six billion Ghana cedis as expenditure in advance of appropriation for the first quarter of the next fiscal year.

This is in accordance with Article 180 of the constitution.

The House is expected to debate the finance Committee’s report on that matter on the floor today.

XYZ NEWS Parliamentary Correspondent Vivienne Laryea reported that the amount of 6,067 600, 214.00 will be the interim budget for the first quarter of 2013.
