Mahama and Amissah-Arthur will fulfil my brother’s legacy

The Brother of late President Mills, Dr. Cadman Atta Mills has urged NDC supporters to rally behind President Mahama and Vice President Amissah-Arthur for victory in the December elections.

His comments give hints that the President may maintain Vice President Amissah-Arthur as his running mate for the December polls.

There were dissenting views within the NDC party when the President settled on Mr. Amissah-Arthur as his vice.

But the party explained that the Vice President is not necessarily the running mate as a running mate will be selected in due time.

Giving a speech at Thursday congress Dr. Cadman charged party members to work hard to the get the two elected.

“You have done the right thing, you have selected a new generation of leaders after his [Mills] demise.

“Many of you immediately after his death promised me that you would work very hard to get John Mahama and Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur elected, I will hold you to that promise and from now let’s work hard and make sure that we give fitting tribute to Atta Mills’ legacy” Dr. Cadman Mills said.
