Gwollu, (UWR), Jan. 16, GNA – Mr Ismail B. Madah, 54, a tutor at the Kanton Senior Secondary School at Tumu, was last Friday confirmed as the District Chief Executive of Sissala West District.

Last year the assembly rejected Mr Salifu Waah, also a tutor nominated by President John Agyekum Kufuor for the appointment. Mr Madah expressed his gratitude to the assembly for the confirmation and assured them of his cooperation to move the socio-economic development of the district forward.

Mr Ambrose Dery, Upper West Regional Minister asked Mr Madah to be tolerant and humble to succeed in his new office.

He advised the people to be law abiding and live in peace with one another in order not to be compelled by circumstances to divert resources meant for development of the district in maintenance of peace.
