Lotto Forecaster jailed for stealing

Aflao, Sept 11, GNA – An Aflao circuit court has sentenced a lotto forecaster to two years in prison for stealing engine parts valued at seven million cedis belonging to his landlord.

Musah Mohammed, 42, pleaded guilty to stealing.

Police Inspector Abraham Narh Tetteh of Denu Police told the court that Mohammed got acquainted with the complainant, an outboard motor mechanic based at Denu, near Aflao.

As a result the complainant, out of compassion, offered the Mohammed a room where assorted new Yamaha outboard motor spare parts were kept.

But in the absence of his benefactor on May 27, Mohammed stole the engine parts and went into hiding until August 20 when he was spotted at his hideout in a hotel at Aflao.
