Tema, July 30, GNA – Armed robbers have attacked and robbed a lotto agent in Tema of over 20 million cedis.
Tearful Nana Yaw, 40, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA), on Thursday that two- armed men, in masks attacked him at about 0200 hours on Wednesday and robbed him of the money.
He said he heard the men giving warning shots before the attack and he managed to contact the Tema Community One Police Station for help but to no avail.
” I spoke to a police official, who told me that, he was the only one at the charge office.”
He said the Buffalo Unit of the Police Service however arrived late at the scene
Chief Superintendent Angwutubge Awuni, District Commander of the Tema Community One Police, confirmed the robbery to the GNA and said investigations had started to apprehend the robbers. 30 July 04
