Lordina visits a victim of NPP Thuggery at KATH

The First Lady, Mrs Lordina Mahama, visited an NDC victim of “all-die-be-die” at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi to empathise with her.

Ms Swaiba Mustapha met her ordeal when an NPP activist used his party’s scarf to trap her neck and pulled her off the bucket of a moving pick-up vehicle crushing her head on the tarred road in the process. She also had the flesh on her right shoulder peeled off.

She was rushed to the hospital where the doctors stitched her scull and shoulder and then conducted a CT scan of her head to determine whether there is an internal bleeding or damage. Dr Dominic Awariya, a Trauma/Orthopaedic Specialist who attended to her, said she was in a stable condition.

Ms Swaiba Mustapha is the Asawase (Akorem) constituency NDC women’s organiser. The MP for Asawase, Mr Muntaka Mubarak has vowed to ensure that the NPP activist who caused Ms Swaiba her ordeal faces the full rigours of the law.

The NPP activists was identified but the police is said to be trailing him as he is on the run.

Mrs Mahama was at the hospital together with Ms Sherry Ayitey, Minister of Environment, Science and Technology, Dr Opuni, CEO of Food and Drugs Board and Hajia Zainab Mahama, Deputy Women’s Organiser of the NDC
