Lordina Mahama’s name pops up in multi-million dollar Cocobod contract

Lordina has allegedly been cited in the cocoa health and extension division under Cocobod for the supply of chemicals for cocoa farmers across the country.

According to maverick politician and lawmaker for Assin Central Constituency in the Central region Kennedy Ohene Agyepong, the said Lordina won the contract through sole sourcing and was required to supply the chemicals to various Cocoa sheds in the country.

What is not immediately known is if the said Lordina mentioned in the document he claims to possess, have any connection with the outgoing First Lady Lordina Mahama.

“I want to ask Dr Opuni who is Lordina under the Cocoa Health and Extension mandated to supply chemicals to cocoa sheds”, he asked.

He maintains that there are heaps of alleged corrupt deals in COCOBOD under the watch of Dr Stephen Opuni the CEO, which must be exposed especially unprecedented contracts that have been awarded without going through tender.

The NPP firebrand revealed that one year under his watch as CEO, the kind of renovation work he has embarked on in his office leaves much to be desired and in some cases allegedly used his own company to execute contracts for the company.

“Opuni should get ready because we are coming after him to answer questions about his tenure as CEO of Cocobod”, he added.
