Lordina Mahama donates to orphanages

Nkoranza (B/A) Dec. 6, GNA – Mrs. Lordina Mahama, wife of Vice President John Mahama has donated relief items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to three orphanages in Nkoranza and Techiman Municipalities for the up-keep of the inmates.

The items included 65 bags of rice, 12 gallons of cooking oil, canned drinks, biscuits, detergents, sweets, six bales of second-hand clothing and 30 pieces of wax print.

The beneficiary homes were ‘Let the Kids Smile’ at Nkoranza, ‘Bethesda Children’ at Krobo and ‘Frank May Orphanage’, both in Techiman municipality.

In an address read for her, the Second Lady stressed the need for people to show compassion to the marginalized during the yuletide so they would also feel happy.
