London-based man donates to Begoro hospital

Begoro, Aug.31, GNA – Mr Otchere Amponsah, 51, a London-based citizen of Begoro in the Eastern Region, on Wednesday presented hospital equipment worth seven million cedis to the Bogoro District Hospital. The items comprised of 10 electric blood pressure machines and 48 water jugs.

Mr Amponsah said the gesture was in response to an appeal made by Mr Kwadwo Agyei-Addo Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa, to Begoro citizens outside the country to assist develop the hospital.

He asked the hospital authorities to put the items into good use to improve health care delivery at the hospital.

Mr Agyei-Addo said with the implementation of the District Health Insurance Scheme, the hospital would need more equipment to provide adequate health care to the people.

Mr Kwame Ampadu Agyei, Hospital Administrator, who received the items pledged to put them into good use.

He appealed to individuals, institutions, organisations and NGOs to assist in the hospital’s expansion programme.
