Local Consultants To Help Price WaterHouse On Income Policy

Accra Five full-time local consultants are to team up with Messrs Price Waterhouse Associates to push forward the implementation of the public sector incomes policy. They are the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Management Development and Productivity Institute (MDPI), Office of the Head of Civil Service (OHCS), Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and the Universities. These local consultants have been put together by the Public Services Commission (PSC) to advance the implementation of the public sector incomes policy. A release from the PSC said the formation of the team is in pursuance of the Cabinet sub-committee’s recent acceptance of the Price Waterhouse recommendations and the sub-committee’s directives on actions to be taken. Under the terms of reference, the present phase of the exercise is to be completed by mid-October, 1997. “It is envisaged that by August 31, 1997, the relativity chart and the 1997 universal salary structure for the public sector would have been produced for immediate implementation”.
