Load shedding to hit parts of the country – VRA

The Volta River Authority (VRA) says it will shut down one of its units at Tema (TT1PP) for a planned regular maintenance works.

A statement issued by the Corporate Communications Unit of the VRA said the shutdown is “expected to result in a short fall in the generation of about 100MW at peak hours…”

The statement also said the shut down is expected to result in some amount of load shedding.

Days that will be affected are: Friday, January 11, 2013 to Sunday, January 13, 2013.
