Liverpool Crowned Champions as 2024/25 English Football Season Wraps Up

The curtain has fallen on the 2024/25 English football season, with Liverpool emerging as the standout force both domestically and in individual accolades.

Champions Once Again

Liverpool, under the guidance of new Dutch manager Arne Slot, secured the Premier League title in spectacular fashion. Slot, who took over from Jurgen Klopp at the start of the season, has won over fans and pundits alike with his fluid, attacking style of play and sharp tactical decisions.

Champions League Spots Secured

Joining Liverpool in next season’s UEFA Champions League are Arsenal (2nd), Manchester City (3rd), Chelsea (4th), and Newcastle United (5th). Tottenham Hotspur also claim a Champions League place after lifting the UEFA Europa League trophy.

Europa and Conference League Qualification

Aston Villa’s consistency earned them a Europa League spot with a sixth-place finish, while Crystal Palace – surprise winners of the FA Cup – also secured European football. Nottingham Forest wrapped up a memorable campaign by finishing seventh, booking a place in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Individual Awards

Mohamed Salah delivered a sensational season, sweeping three of the league’s top individual awards:

•Premier League Player of the Season

•Golden Boot winner with 28 goals

•Playmaker of the Season with 18 assists

The Egyptian’s contribution was central to Liverpool’s title charge. His teammate, Dutch midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, was named Young Player of the Season, underlining the youth-driven energy at Anfield.

The Golden Glove was shared between Arsenal’s David Raya and Nottingham Forest’s Matz Sels, both keeping 13 clean sheets to top the league in shutouts.

As fans across Ghana and the globe reflect on a season packed with drama, upsets, and brilliance, attention now shifts to the upcoming transfer window and preparations for the 2025/26 seaso
