Lions Club takes stock of its activities

Takoradi, Sept. 13, GNA- Mr Sam Winfred Attu, chairman of zone 161 of the Lions club on Saturday reaffirmed members’ commitment to initiate programmes that will supplement government’s efforts of helping the poor.

He said this could be achieved through hard work.

Mr Attu was addressing the first consultative meeting of the 2003/2004 Lion Club at Takoradi.

The meeting reviewed and discussed the social and financial performance of the various clubs under the zone.

Mr Attu said there was the need for cooperation and unity between individual clubs and the Lion Club.

“Let our commitment to our cause deepen and make conscious effort to show to all and sundry that we care as we serve”, he advised. Miss Angelina Tandoh, president of the Twin City Lions club said the club will expand its activities to serve the growing needs of the public.
