Limited registration starts in Hohoe

Hohoe, Aug 1, GNA – The limited voters’ registration exercise started in the Hohoe Municipality on Thursday with 32 eligible voters registering at the Evangelical Presbyterian Junior High School (JHS) registration Centre by 1050 hours. The Saint Teresa’s JHS registration Centre also registered 26 voters by 1130 hours.

Mr David Acheampong, Hohoe Municipal Director of the Electoral Commission, told the Ghana News Agency that the 48 electoral areas in the district that served as polling stations have been re-demarcated into 24 zones. He said mobile registration teams would be redeployed throughout the district to ensure that a wider area was covered by the close of the 11-day exercise. The exercise was to give the opportunity to those who have attained 18 years to register and those who have never registered.
