Let’s work to develop BA region -Ransford Antwi

The Managing Director of Sun City Radio, a Sunyani based FM Station, Mr. Ransford Antwi, has called on all citizens of the Brong Ahafo Region, to put all hands on deck, and work hard to transform the vast region.
He said the region abounds in great human and numerous natural resources, which need to be harnessed to give a face lift to all the communities of the region.
Mr. Antwi made the call in an interaction with newsmen in Sunyani, on the prospects of the year 2016.
He explained that the region which prides itself as the “bread basket” of Ghana and home to many great and eminent personalities of the nation, should not lag behind in industrial and infrastructural development.
“What is needed now, is for all natives of the region at home and abroad to come together and use their expertise and influence ,to transform the region and Ghana , as a whole “, he stated .
The media magnate used the occasion, to urge his compatriots to eschew such negative attitudes like envy and apathy, which to disintegrate and break down social cohesion, describing such attitudes as the bain and cause of the region’s low profile development.
“As we begin a new year, let’s put aside envy and apathy and gird up our loins, and genuinely commit ourselves to the progress, development and transformation of our beloved Brong – Ahafo,”he advised.
Mr. Antwi also called on the government, to as a matter of urgency, consider building a Teaching Hospital in the region, to improve institutional and infrastructural development in a region that contributes so much to the development of the nation.
