Let’s keep changing till we have a competent leader – Akomea

Former New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Okaikoi South, Nana Akomea has said Ghana’s politics shouldn’t only be between the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), but rather it should involve all political parties ready to transform Ghana.

He urged the electorates to kick out any party whose leader will sink Ghana rather than project the country’s vision to compete with well-developed countries.

According to him, the Mahama-led NDC government has failed the country and the populace after their numerous campaign promises of a “Better Ghana”.

Whiles commending President John Dramani Mahama for his attempts at eradicating corruption, the former NPP Communications Director however insisted he (Mahama) be kicked-out of office in 2016 due to some awful gaffes.

Nana Akomea is of a view that, even if NPP fail to deliver when voted into power come 2016, the electorates have every right to vote them out.

“Let’s keep changing till we have a leader who is competent and committed to work and develop this country. We don’t want a President who will airlift money to footballers,” he said on Adom FM.
