Let’s Have Successful and Incident-Free Elections – Rawlingses

Ghana’s former President, Flt Lt Jerry John Rawlings and Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings have sent a message of goodwill to Muslims on the occasion of the Eid ul Adha festival.

They also congratulated Muslims for the successful conclusion of the Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca.

President and Mrs. Rawlings called on all Muslims to use “this period of sacrifice to pray for peace and unity as we draw closer to the Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

“Our dear brothers and sisters, as we pray, perform sacrifices and celebrate, let us seek guidance from Allah to protect us during this electoral season so we come out of the process successfully,” the statement said.

President and Mrs. Rawlings also called on all Ghanaians to join hands across all religious and political divides to ensure that our elections are incident free.
