Lets ensure calm at biometric registration centres – Bondah

Mr Joe Adansi Bondah, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai, has appealed to the people to ensure calm at the biometric voter registration centres.

He said it was important for all to accept to play by the rules and do away with unnecessary aggressive and antagonistic postures.

The appeal made through the Ghana News Agency (GNA) comes on the heels of reported violent scenes at some registration centres in some parts of the country.

He urged the youth to refuse to allow anybody to use them to foment trouble and that they should reject any agenda seeking to undermine the peace, security and stability of the nation.

Mr Adansi Bondah said that Ghana has won a lot of international admiration and respect for its democracy, and that needed protection.

This demands responsible conduct, political maturity, comportment and restraint in the face of provocation, he added.**
