Let’s build the nation with love and tolerance – Overseer Awudi.

Overseer Samuel Awudi, Pastor in-charge of Maranatha Temple of the Great Commission Church International (GCCI), New Santo near Kanawu, Tema has appealed to Ghanaians to help build the nation with tolerance.

He said it was because of the depraved nature of humanity that God sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ to come and die for mankind.

“God is love and the followers of God, especially Christians must exhibit this unique attribute of God and as we celebrate the birth of Christ, there is the need for us as to show to the whole world that we love one another,” Overseer Awudi said.

He said a greater percentage of Ghanaians are Christians and if this segment is to demonstrate the love of God, unity and tolerance, the nation will attain greater heights.

Overseer Awudi said when Christians show love in their respective churches, there will be a greater demonstration of the power of God adding that “a Christian who cannot love his neigbour is still not born-again; we should love all including our political opponents because God first loved us unconditionally,” he said.

Reading from Galatians 3:26-28, Overseer Awudi reminded Christians that we are all one people in Christ Jesus, hence there should be no discrimination whatsoever on tribal, ethnic, religious or political affiliations in the country.

“We are all Ghanaians and God’s chosen people, before God we are all equal no group of people are superior to the other,” he said, adding that we must allow the birth of Christ to change their lives for the better.

Overseer Awudi appealed to those in authority to use the love of God to promote unity, peace and tolerance and urged them to seek the good of the nation and to eschew all forms of social vices.
