Let us support Government to develop Volta Region – Dzamesi

Ho, Oct. 03, GNA 96 Mr Kofi Dzamesi, Volta Regional Minister has called on people from the region to support Government’s policies and programmes to enhance the region’s socio-economic development. He said Government was committed to the equitable distribution of national resources to improve the living standards of the people irrespective of voting patterns.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) during the weekend at Ho, Mr Dzamesi said many development projects had been completed with others nearing completion throughout the region.

He said a Secretariat for Micro-Financing Projects would be inaugurated at Ho soon to support small and medium scale industries and businesses with financial assistance. Mr Dzamesi said this would be a major challenge to the private sector in the region, which had complained of lack of credit facilities for them and cautioned that only people with viable projects would have access to loans. He said the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) was collaborating with relevant organizations and stakeholders to market tourist attractions in the region. 03 Oct. 06
