Let discipline, tolerance and honesty reflect in your lives- DCE

Mankranso (Ash), March 8, GNA- Mr Kwaku Obeng Boateng, Ahafo-Ano South District Chief Executive (DCE), has called on Ghanaians to let discipline, tolerance and honesty reflect in their lives.

Mr Boateng made the call when he addressed a parade of school children and students from basic and Senior Secondary Schools and voluntary organisations at the 47th Independence anniversary at Mankranso on Saturday.

He said the theme for the celebration: “Discipline, tolerance and Honesty”, were essential ingredients for deepening democracy. The DCE noted that democracy was not easy to practice but said it was generally agreed that it was more equitable and preferable form of government than any form of governance.

Mr Sampson Amofa-Krah, the District Director of Education, emphasised the need for Ghanaians to work diligently and honestly in all spheres of life.

This, he said, will pave the way for the grand celebration of the golden jubilee celebration of the country’s independence in three years time.

Six schools, which distinguished themselves in the march past were given awards.
