Ledzokuku NDC hold rally

Mrs. Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings has said that victory for the NDC in the 2004 elections would be victory for the downtrodden people of this country as they would have voted for a party that aims at making life better for all class of Ghanaians as opposed to the ruling party that exhibits gross insensitivity to their plights.

Addressing a large crowd of NDC faithful at a rally at Teshie Abomah in the Ledzokuku constituency of Accra on Sunday 28th November 2004, Mrs.Rawlings advised members of the NDC to remain steadfast and work hard to ensure victory for the NDC in the 2004 elections.

She assured the electorate that Prof. Mills would not only bring honesty, dedication and transparency to governance but better work hard to restore the dignity that ‘all and sundry’ deserve She urged them not to disenfranchised themselves by selling their voters id cards ‘saying the voters id cards is the passport to exercising their franchise hence they should not exchange it for money.

Mrs.Rawlings introduced the parliamentary candidate of the constituency Nii Nortey Dua to the electorate describing him as not only honest hard working but also a man capable of delivery.

Nii.Nortey Dua, in his speech promised the electorate that if voted in power he would not rest until the relevant agencies solve the water problem plaguing the area.

On education, Nii Nortey Duah, an accomplished broadcaster, whose flowery oratorical skills shines through when he is running commentary, promised that an educational endowment fund would be created which would be used to fund needy but brilliant students in their education.

In an interview with the pressmen he commended the press for the role been played in enriching the country’s democratic governance.
