Lecturer call for support for NDC’s new leadership

Kumasi, Jan 19, GNA – Mr Ebenezer Terlabi, the 2008 National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Oforikrom, Kumasi, has congratulated the party’s delegates to the just ended national congress in Tamale for mature conduct.

He said the success of the congress demonstrated that the party had made significant progress with its internal democracy. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Kumasi on Tuesday, Mr Terlabi, a bio-chemistry lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), said he was happy the congress had put to rest speculations about division among its leaders. “We have come out more united than before and I entreat our teeming members to uphold the party’s principles to ensure its growth.” He also called for support for the newly elected national executive to strengthen the party’s structures. Mr Terlabi appealed to the party’s leadership to work hard to consolidate the gains achieved so far and prepare the NDC to retain power in the 2012 general elections. 19 Jan 10
