Lebanese Ambassador pays courtesy call on employment Minister

Mr. Ali Halabi, Lebanese Ambassador in Ghana, has commended Ghana for its democratic credentials in ensuring peace and security in the country.

The Ambassador made the commendation when he and his delegation paid a courtesy call on Nii Armah Ashietey, Minister of Employment and Labour Relations in Accra.

He said the peaceful atmosphere in Ghana has enabled his people to stay in the country for a long time, and therefore, expressed the hope that the unity between the two countries would go a long way to continue to benefit their people.

Nii Armah Ashietey said Ghana has benefited from the relationship the two countries share, adding that, most of the Lebanese in the country have created job opportunities helping most Ghanaians.

He added that one cannot talk about Ghana’s economy without mentioning Lebanese as they continue to help in the area of trade, culture and politics.

He noted that unemployment is a major problem in the world of which Ghana is not an exceptional, adding that government is trying its best to find a solution to it.
