Leave little girls alone – Lawyer appeals to Headmasters

Hohoe, July 29, GNA – A lawyer has appealed to Headmasters to ”to leave the little girls alone” so that the boys would copy their restraint.

Mr Oscar Vulor, President of the Volta Regional Branch of the Ghana Bar Association, said a student has immense benefits to gain from adhering to discipline but ”a pervert disciplinarian could destroy a student’s pursuit of knowledge.

Mr Vulor was speaking on: “Importance of Discipline in a Student’s Life” during the Professional Week Celebration of the Saint Agartha Commercial College at Hohoe on Monday.

He said disciplinarians should be well disciplined themselves to enable them to enforce proper discipline at their places of work. The Regional Bar Association President said, “a proper disciplinarian is the one who can impact such values as honesty, truthfulness, punctuality and respect for the law to his subordinates”.

Mr Vulor said it was important that students appreciated and understood that education was of paramount importance and advised them to shun bad friends and rather gear their efforts towards academic pursuits. “Do away with friends, who are on drugs and engage in other anti-social activities and concentrate on your books for a better future”, he said.
