Leaders must respect institutions – Edward Mahama

The Flagbearer of the People’s National Convention(PNC), Dr. Edward Mahama has said until leaders of the nation respect institutions within the public space, there will be much to contend with in efforts towards the development of the country.

Dr. Mahama said institutions are largely failing, because the system is occupied by leaders who have no commitment to the growth of the nation but are rather interested in the politics of deception which is affecting the development of the country.

Speaking at the National Peace summit Organised by the Rotary Club in conjunction with EIB Election Hub in Accra at the Kofi Annan International Peace Centre (KAIPTC), the PNC Flagbearer said the leaders of the country must have a clear direction where they want to tilt the economy of the nation to and improve the lives of the ordinary Ghanaian.

For him, the PNC is ready to spur growth in all sectors of the economy to give job security to the teeming youth of the country through agric.

“We promise the people of Ghana that a PNC administration will make the economy of Ghana increase at 10 percent per annum on agric only. We believe agric has the potential to get our young people into productive lives,” he said.
