Law student fetes patients at Korle-bu children’s ward

A law student at the Mountcrest University College, Kanda has donated cooked food and assorted drinks to children on admission at the Korle-bu Children’s ward.

Ms Joyce Ofori, who donated soft drinks and boxes of drinking water to the patients, said it was part of her social responsibility to put some smiles on the faces of children that are stressed up by diseases.

“This donation is to first of all put smiles on the faces of the affected children who are on admission, so as to give hope of the speedy recovery to each of them.”

She said it is sad to be enjoying on a new year day, while others are languishing in pain at the hospital.

“I hope the donation would go a long way to solve some the food needs at the hospital.”

Mr Mustapha Salifu, Head of Communications at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital who received the items on behalf of the facility commended Ms Ofori for her generosity.

He said such gestures are instrumental in speeding up the recovery of patients.
