Latter Day Saints donates wheel chairs

Takoradi, Oct. 12, GNA – Takoradi Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints on Wednesday presented wheel chairs to 50 physically challenged persons in Takoradi.

Speaking at the function, Mr Kweku Prah Ghartey, Public Affairs Director of the Church, said the Latter Day Charity, a Non-Governmental-Organisation in the Church, donated the wheel chairs. He said the Charity would soon present 450 wheel chairs to the Minister of Health for distribution to physically challenged people throughout the country.

Mr Ghartey said the Charity made a similar donation last year. He said this was the Church’s support of the Ministry of Jesus Christ to the poor, needy and the sick.
