Latex Foam donates mattresses to Juaso District Hospital

Juaso (Ash), April 14, GNA – Latex Foam Company Limited has donated 30 pieces of hospital mattresses worth 18 million cedis to the Juaso District Hospital.

The donation was in response to an appeal made by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Asante-Akim South, Mrs Gifty Ohene-Konadu to the company last year.

Mr Abass Amankwah, Personnel Manager of the company, who presented the mattresses, said the donation formed part of the company’s social responsibility to the public. He said it was the policy of the company to donate to three charity organizations every year, adding that the focus would be on health institutions this year.

Dr Ahmed Habib, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital who received the items said the donation was timely, as it would help furnish the Hospital’s newly constructed maternity block. He commended the company and the MP for the gesture and urged other benevolent organizations to follow suit. 14 April 07
