Lambussie Traditional Council congratulates Prez Mahama

The chiefs, elders of Lambussie Traditional Council, the youth of Issaw-West and the people of Lambussie Traditional Area in the Upper West Region, on Friday congratulated Mr. John Dramani Mahama for winning the 2012 December 7 general election.

A statement issued in Accra by Mr Kuoro Salifu I. Dy-Yakah, Acting President of the Council said, “We are proud of you. We wish you very well and God’s guidance in this highest office of the state.”

“May the almighty God grant you the patience, courage, Godly wisdom and peace to be able to govern the people of the country,” it said.

The statement noted with satisfaction the re-alignment of the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Culture to the present Ministry of Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs indicating that it would give a clear focus and attention to chieftaincy and culture of African chieftaincy institutions.

It said the Traditional Council was prepared to collaborate with government on all matters that chiefs must play a role in, to bring about development, peace, peace and unity.
