Lack of leisure contributing to tension in Ghana – Albert Ocran

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ‘Legacy and Legacy’, Albert Ocran, has blamed the seeming tension in the Ghanaian political and social landscape on the failure of Ghanaians to appreciate the need for leisure times.

In his view, the “aggressive” quest for material gains by most Ghanaians in recent times is creating uneasiness in society.

The orator-cum-motivational speaker believes people must make conscious efforts to reduce stress in order to prolong their lives.

Speaking to Starr News’ Asabea Akonor ahead of the upcoming ‘Accra Symphony orchestra’, Mr. Ocran said people must make time to listen to music to enrich their souls.

“Music provides employment, music provide a tool for expression of a nation’s culture, a nation’s identity.

“All over the world, music, the arts are very key tools for providing the framework around which society thinks, our thoughts, our philosophy are all expressed through music,” he noted.

The brain behind the Symphony Orchestra group is the Founder of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Dr. Mensa Otabil and Nana Danso Abiam (late).

The objective is to provide quality international standard classical music for the city of Accra.
