Labourer fined 1.5 million cedis for stealing.

Tema, Oct. 20, GNA – The Tema Circuit Court ‘A’, has imposed a fine of 1.5 million cedis on a labourer who stole eight wheel caps belonging to his employer.

Kwabena Boadi, who was sentenced on his own plea, would be jailed for one year in default.

Prosecuting Police Chief Inspector Mary Assunta, told the Court presided over by Mr. Charles Asiedu, that at 2300 hours on September 29, 2004, the complainant spotted the accused on top of his uncompleted building throwing the eight wheel caps valued at 1.8 million cedis on the ground and caused his arrest.
