The La General Hospital recorded 26 births during the Easter festivities between Friday and Sunday.

The Hospital recorded 24 normal deliveries from Good Friday to Easter Sunday whiles two babies were delivered by caesarean section.

Out of the 26 deliveries, there were 14 females and 12 males.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency on anonymity, a nurse at the labour ward said that the mothers were in good health as well as their babies.

She explained that the first delivery was recorded at 5:15am and the last delivery occurred at 7:30am.

Maame Aba Ntsiful, who had delivered a few hours before the GNA visited the La General Hospital, said she was so happy to have given birth on the day that marked Jesus’ resurrection and was very thankful to God.
