La gas explosion: Let’s pray for victims – Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has consoled the victims of Thursday’s gas explosion.

The gas explosion occurred at Trade Fair Junction, near the office of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) at La Dadekotopon, killing six persons and injuring 35.

Mr Mahama took to his Facebook wall to console the victims on Friday, December 23. He stated: “My condolences to families of the victims of yesterday’s gas explosion; let’s continue to pray for the injured.”

The explosion was said to have occurred between 6pm and 7pm after a gas cylinder at a nearby gas station started leaking.

Meanwhile, President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo has called for strict enforcement of safety regulations and the proper siting of fuel stations across the country.
