Kwesii Pratt Exposes Rawlings

Rawlings Sent Me a Text That Candidate Mills Should Be Removed – Kwesi Pratt Jnr.

Mr Kwesi Pratt Jnr. Editor of the Insight Newspaper and Member of the Socialist Forum of Ghana has revealed for the first time that Ex-President Jerry John Rawlings sent him a text message before the 2008 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections soliciting his support that the then NDC Flagbearer John Evans Atta Mills should be removed as Flagbearer.

Mr Kwesi Pratt Jnr. also revealed that Ex-President Rawlings then called up others like Mr. Ato Ahwoi appealing to them to contest the 2006 Flagbearership of the NDC since his plot to remove Candidate Mills would be successful. He dared Mr. Ato Ahwoi and others to also come public and stand up to Ex-President Rawlings.

Mr Pratt who was speaking on Radio Gold’s Alhaji and Alhaji talk show on Saturday the 13th of February, 2010 also indicated that he still has the text message.

Reacting to Ex-President Rawlings’ latest outburst, Mr. Pratt contended that after listening to the former president carefully, he suspects the Former President is suffering from “Messianic delusions and unbridled arrogance.”

Mr. Pratt wondered why President Rawlings would think that God works through him and why he should make statements that suggest that he is the wisest and most righteous Ghanaian.

Mr. Pratt admonished that one of the principles of democracy is equal citizenship and that no one citizen should raise himself above everybody. He also argued that plain insults like “little twit” and “who born dog” cannot be described as criticisms.

Doing further analysis, Mr. Pratt cautioned over excited NPP elements to think twice and present credible alternative policies that will show they are a better alternative because if they will make Ex- President Rawlings’ statement their gospel, then they should bear in mind that in that same statement Ex-President Rawlings described the NPP as a bunch of thieves who still have intact their looting machinery.
