Kwesi Pratt does not believe in God but… – Asabee

“…I love it when people like Kwesi Pratt challenge what I believe in. They do not believe in God. They only see the physical and I love to be challenged because that is when they give me something to surmount and that is when I excel. People like Kwesi Pratt will be proved wrong.”

Those were the words of Steven Asamoah Boateng, former Member of Parliament for Mfantseman West, in reaction to what many believe was a sarcastic endorsement of his candidature in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagberership race by Kwesi Pratt Jnr., the Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper.

The one-time Minister of Information under the erstwhile Kufour Administration made these remarks on NEAT 100.9 after Kwesi Pratt had sniggered following media reports that Asabee picked up nomination forms to contest the upcoming NPP Presidential primaries in his bid to become the party’s flagbearer for the 2016 general elections.

“Our own friend and brother Asabee wants to be a president, we highly commend him…he has done well. We never knew he had eight hundred and something million….Asabee the President. So far they are seven but I am most excited about the candidature of Asabee,” Kwesi Pratt snidely remarked on PeaceFM’s “Kokrokoo” Morning Show.

In response to the seasoned journalist’s comments, the former NPP Parliamentarian simply said; “Kwesi Pratt is my friend, and he does not know God so he should just watch what I’m doing with his physical eyes”.

Though he admits that the two-time Presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana Akufo Addo, “is the person to beat” in the primaries, he took solace in the Holy Scriptures reading copiously from the book of Daniel, where its stated “the Lord changes times and seasons. He sets up things and deposes things” and also Acts Chapter 4 verse 13.
