Kwesi Pratt attacks governments over country’s calamities

Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwasi Pratt Jnr. has attacked both present and past governments for the calamities that have befallen the country in recent times.

“Presidents wait for disasters to happen to afford them take photographs with victims instead of providing everlasting solutions to the problems”, he state it on Kokrokro flagship program hosts by Kwame Sefa Kayi of Peace FM.

The senior journalists took a swipe at prophecies claiming the recent death of over twenty students of Wenchi Methodist Senior School at Kintampo Waterfalls is ” natural and act of God”.

He refuted that the deaths are “purely accidental and avoidable” which could have been easily prevented if authorities have done safety audit across facilities in the country.

Government delegation led by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to commiserate with victims’ families announced government will take expenses of the hospitalized victims of the students and the funeral expenses of the deaths.

The veteran journalist described movies where government only promises financial support to accident victims as “frivolous and unimportant thing to do”.

According to him, the amount could have been spent to fix the problems that have led to accidents rather than waiting for live lost.

He therefore urged families of the victims to sue authorities of the Kintampo Waterfalls, government and authorities of the school for their negligence.???
