‘Kwesi Botwe report contains individual perceptions’ – Kofi Adams

National Organiser of the main opposition National Democratic Congress says the report by the Prof. Kwesi Botwe Committee contains information of a mere misconception of individual perceptions about the party and its functionaries.

According to Kofi Adams, some members of the party grew increasingly disappointed based on their personal assumptions.

The 2016 elections campaign coordinator of the party was speaking to host of Abusua Nkommo, Kwame Adinkrah in response to a 455 page report compiled by a committee led by former finance minister, Prof. Kwesi Botwei, to investigate circumstances that contributed to the party’s defeat at last year’s polls.

Kofi Adams explains, “some party foot-soldiers saw other resourceful people organising campaign events on behalf of the party and easily concluded that party resources had been entrusted in the hands of private persons.” “There are people who used their monies to hold elaborate programs and rallies for the party…others also shared paraphernalia.”

“I’m reliably informed that some of these party foot-soldiers complained that when they call some of us we don’t answer their calls and I was surprised to hear some of these complains becauase during the campaings, no one had time for calls…we were either at noisy rally grounds or holding strategic meetings.”

“I know a lot of such people who decided not to work for the party because of these misconceptions I have stated,” Kofi Adams said.
