Kwesi Botchwey report in the hands of only two people – Sidii Abubakar

The ‘leaked’ Kwesi Botchwey report, has dominated media discussions with some media houses, serializing the report which they claim are in their possession.

Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako disclosed that an insider within the umbrella family, scanned copies of the report for him.

The NDC after suffering a massive defeat in the 2016 general elections commissioned a 13-member fact finding committee chaired by former Finance Minister, Dr. Kwesi Botchwey to diagnose what led to the NDC’s defeat.

Five months after the committee presented its report to National Executives, the party has kept the report under lock and key saying it’s not meant for public consumption.

But some individuals have laid hands on the ‘leaked’ report. However, National Youth Organizer of the NDC, Sidii Abubakar, says the report in circulation is fake and that only two people in the party, are in possession of the report.

He told Rainbow Radio’s Kwame Tutu that no national officer has a copy except the General Secretary and possibly the Chairman.

According to him, it is very difficult for anybody to come out and say that they have a copy of the report.

Sidii Abubakar said, anybody who is able to lay his hands on the document will understand how the NDC is rebuilding for 2020 especially if the person is a politician.

The reason why the party kept the document from the public is to prevent our opponents from seeing our strategies, he said.
