Kweku Baako clinches top Journalist award

Firebrand Journalist Kweku Baako, Editor of the Crusading Guide, was named over the weekend as Ghana’s top Journalist of the year.

For his award, Mr Baako, who in the recent past has had alterations with the government as a result of his hard hitting editorial stance, would attend a residential Advance Journalism Training Course next April at the Thomson Foundation in Cardiff, Wales under the sponsorship of Unilever Ghana Limited.

As part of a fifty million cedis package by Unilever, Mr Baako received a personal computer, a return air-ticket to Cardiff and a full paid per diem during the course.

Freedom Forum, an American non-governmental organization would also sponsor him to the CNN African Journalist of the year awards at the CNN Headquarters in Atlanta Georgia, USA.
