Kweiman Chief, 3 others jailed for contempt

The chief of Kweiman Nii Amartey Kweiman II (PERRY) and three others have been thrown into Nsawam medium prisons to go and serve the state for 5 days for breaching an order of the supreme court of Ghana.

Information reaching HAPPY FM NEWS indicates that Nii Amartey Kwei II a well Dowd traditional ruler have been battling with Fred Adjei Brown over a parcel of land for the past years.

Lawyer for Fred Adjei Brown lawyer G.H.Quist filed a motion of contempt at the land court 7 against Kweiman chief and four others for contempt of supreme court ruling for destroying some properties on a piece of land which was sold by Kpobi We family To Fred Adjei Brown.

After series of adjournment at the land court 7 Nii Amartey Kwei II Chief of kweiman and three others whose names were only given as Daniel Okoe Tetteh, Annang Prosper, and Martin Ediagbe were indeed cited by the court to have breached a ruling of the Supreme Court which allows Fred Adjei Brown to enjoy the piece of land and hence restrain any person from further trespassing or encroaching on the land.

The court thereby thrown all the four including the chief of Kweiman Nii Amartey Kwei II into the Nsawam medium prisons to go and serve the country for 5 days for exhibiting total gross disrespect against the highest court of the land.
